Process

Creation is a sacred alchemy.

Under the full moon I have been using a hearth to create steel from iron. I refine it through folding to create pure material. This material demands discipline and a willingness to learn and is unlike any modern metal. It has a swirling mesmerizing grain that can't be replicated by any other methods.

I use this ancient material in an attempt to understand the work made by those who came before.
